17-02-12 – Sparkle Dates

I am looking forward, as always, to the Sparkle transgender celebration in Manchester. This year on 13th 14th and 15th July. I will be giving a thought provoking and hopefully entertaining talk, at about midday and I hope you can come along and join me.

06-02-12 – Scary Arabic looking man follows Miss Jodie Lyn home

I think it’s important to warn girls of the following incident. Our good friend Miss Jodie Lyn’s taxi was followed from Aldgate to Bethnal Green by a man of Arabic appearance, dressed very smartly. He approached her at her house and said he recognised her from The Wayout Club (I dont believe he had not been INSIDE the club). He asked if he could come in. Jodie said no, then he asked her for her number. She said no. Nothing bad happened but this guy was desperate enough to follow her home, park his car and approach her house at 3am in the snow. I have reported this incident to our local City police. Our security and door staff will be looking out for him outside the club. If ANY of you have had similar or have seen this man loitering please let me know. I must say that Miss Jodie has a high profile and is a very beautiful woman and that this could have happened leaving any venue especially if she had said on facebook or twitter that she would be attending WayOut. But that is no excuse This man is deplorable and scary – I have asked Jodie to report this incident to the police. This man may be known to them. Is he known to you??

30-01-12 – New stage LED projection backdrop

We have a new toy at The WayOut Club. I have invested in an amazing LED curtain that can show patterns, sound to light and video (though pixelated). Its the sort of tech that you see on many telly programs like ‘The Magicians’ It creates an amazing back drop not only for dancing and our shows but also for pics like this one by Ricky ‘The Lensman’. Also if its your special day our DJs can put up you name in lights.

The Wayout Club wants to be not only a sanctuary for transgendered girls and those that respect them but also a fabby dabby night club experience.

20-01-12 – New TG Shop

Throughout February, Sh! Women’s Erotic Emporium will show a collection of transgendered works called Art in Pubic – An Exploration of the Naked Truth.
Monday – Sunday 11am – 7pm, Free
Men welcome as guests of women or during Gent’s Night on Tuesdays 5-7pm
*Males presenting in female persona is welcome at all times

Fuschia Ayling: “My work for this exhibition aims to deal with the realities of intimacy and the relationship I have both with my transgendered partner and my own body. We, as a society, seem overly preoccupied with the airbrushed representations of sex and the human form that we see in the media, in everything from shop mannequins to pornography.”

Shay Briscoe: “My work is focused on my thoughts and feelings about my body as a female to male transsexual, and the often fraught relationship I have with sex. It seems that transgender people are massively underrepresented in the media and art world, and with my work I hope to help bring about the wider knowledge and acceptance of transsexual and genderfluid people who are so often ignored.”

Jessica Pritchard: “Sex is an important part of life, not the waxed, tanned and andocentric, surgically enhanced sex that the media tell us is what we should want; but the raw, clumsy, sweaty and passionate sex that actually happens…”

14-01-12 – New TG Photo Studio near Manchester from Bella Jay

Bella Jay has consistently continued organizing the ‘Sparkle anual TG celebration’ while editor of Repartee magazine, organiser of Roses club, web, forum and Bluemoon on line shop. Despite her enormous workload. 08-12-11 – Samantha Eames – So Sad – R.I.P

How sad is this. Lovely Samantha Eames passed away 7th Dec peacefully, but SO young. Many of you will have known her as the original bass player with The Frantastics. She also won one of our WayOut Star Search contests playing keyboard and singing. She performed many times at Sparkle. Such a beautiful person. That is SO sad.

06-12-11 – Peter White

I am so sad to hear that Peter (Ron Storme) White passed away Sunday 4th December. Peter will be remembered for his larger than life persona and for his unbridled desire to keep alive the memory or Ron Storme. Peter was such a gent and despite his physical traumas he always cracked his jokes and kept me laughing – I will miss such a rare man and promise to keep Ron Storme’s name alive as he always did Peter Rest in Peace now safe with Ron Storme (is that you on my shoulder Peter – yea I will keep both of your memories alive at www.wayout-publishing.com/ronstormes ) x

29-11-11 – Christmas Party

At our Christmas party Sat 17th Dec I will donate £100 to STATUS and play the ‘Christmas in Soho’ single by Dusty O and the Trannyshack Team (Jo-Jo’s Wednesday Nights) which they have recorded, plus a video for Christmas. All proceeds go to STATUS, a charitable organisation to encourage Gay men to get tested for HIV regularly and who provide mobile testing clinics and support in London’s Soho.

21-11-11 – Robbie

 I am sad to report that one of our dearest WayOut friends passed away peacefully in his sleep week ending sat 19th 2011. You will remember Robbie who at over 70 could always be seen at WayOut in a tiny mini skirt and boob(less) tube,  dancing like crazy, all night long.
