09-02-13 The Chamberlain Hotel fixed WayOut rate for 2013
GOOD NEWS I had a lovely conversation over Email with Lidia manager of The Chamberlain Hotel. She confirmed to me how much the hotel enjoys welcoming visitors to The WayOut Club. She has set the “weekend WayOut rate” for all of 2013 (depending of course on availabilty) at £130 for a room inc vat and breakfast and of course the hotel is directly opposite WayOut @ Abbey Bar. Parking is free and plentiful and no congestion charge from 2:00 Saturday and all of Sunday no taxi costs and no worry about drinks and driving. Lesley and I are booking for a room sharing with my nephew Jamie on his birthday. (and yes I pay the full price) LOL

Alternative Miss London has always been one of the favourite nights at The WayOut Club and for 14 years we have held it at Charlie’s. I have often thought this is such a great night with such great contestants, we should really hold it at a bigger, nicer venue where everyone can see the catwalk better, where the catwalk can be bigger and higher, where the contestants can really feel proud of themselves. WOW – now we have Abbey all my dreams have come true and the contest looked amazing.
This year to enable as many people as possible to enter with an equal opportunity to win – there will was as many points for costume – as there are for grooming and presentation. This year there was three sections on the catwalk – starting with Creative outfit (thinking surprise or entertain), Then Sexy outfit (thinking burlesque titilation), Finally Classy outfit (thinking full gown).
EVERY contestant was a winner – all 10 contestants made a big effort not least to overcome their nerves to step up to the challenge and take to the catwalk.
Entertaining us while the scores were calculated by my partner Miss Lelly
Miss Baga Chipz
Miss Dee Chanelle

Various treatments available using safe and natural products. Whether you’d like to get rid of some wrinkles, have fuller lips or just improve the tone of your skin – I have a solution for you. Wrinkle relaxing injectables are one of the most popular form of medical cosmetic treatment today.
Treatments can be directed to specific areas so if you want to lessen the frown line in between the brow but keep the nice ‘laughter lines’ around your eyes that is entirely possible.
Deep frown lines can also be treated with dermal filThis treatment involves small injections of Botox into the muscles under the skin where wrinkles appear. The Botox relaxes the muscles by blocking nerve impulses and this relaxation of the muscles reduces the wrinkles. The only areas affected are those immediately around the injection site which means that other elements of facial expression or sensory functions are not affected. This treatment is completely safe and has been approved by both the FDA in the USA and the MHRA in the UK and has been used for over 30 years without any long term problems.
13-06-12 Dusty O’s Tranny Acadamy
This sounds fun girls …
Following on from RU PAUL’S DRAG RACE, we at TRANNYSHACK thought it was high time we let some of our home grown girls shine and get a foot in the door of the drag cabaret market .
Trannyshack host and drag doyenne MISS DUSTY “O” has devised a cunning competition to do just that. With 25 years of drag under her wig, working all over the world as a dj, host and performer, no one in London has a better overview of the drag scene. She will offer words of advise and words of warning and has taken it upon herself to eliminate one lady per week from the competition. Scary !
Each week over 2 days we are going to set our girls a task and provide a drag mentor to help them with it. The first day of the task will involve a talk by the mentor and the actual task. It will be filmed and go on to the TRANNYSHACK YOUTUBE CHANNEL for all the world to see. Then, the next night we play the video at TRANNYSHACK on the big screen and the girls get to show off the results of the day before’s task. This might be “working a weave” or “working the words”. Then each week one girl is eliminated and the next week’s task gets a tiny bit harder as competition mounts culminating in a nail biting finale where the final 2 battle it out in front of the TRANNYSHACK crowd.
We need 8 fabulous girls to take part and an open casting will be held at MADAME JOJO’s on Friday 6th of July at 12 o’clock. The ladies need to be at the club by then and are given 1 hour to paint a face and work a look, then do a number and be judged. 8 will go through to the first day of filming a task on July 10th at the club and the first round at TRANNYSHACK on July 11th, when the first lady will be eliminated. Then each week for 6 weeks the girls battle it out to win a fabulous prize of £1000 worth of club bookings on the London Cabaret Scene!
Anyone interested in attending the casting should contact DUSTY “O” @ verymissdustyo@hotmail.com to register to attend on Friday 6th of July. They will need to clear their diary’s every Tuesday afternoon and Wednesday night for the following 6 weeks to be able to appear on stage at TRANNYSHACK.
This is a unique and amazing opportunity to win £1000 worth of pro club bookings, appear in official Trannyshack youtube videos and may well launch a new drag star!

28-04-12 – Introducing the ‘Supreme Fabulettes’
Meet the Supreme Fabulettes… destined to be the next big thing in sophisticated entertainment. The Supreme Fabulettes are Miss Vicki Vivacious, Miss Mary Mac and Miss Vanilla Lush. Dressed head to foot in fabulous couture costumes, wearing stunning wigs and death defying high heels, The Supreme Fabulettes will turn on the glitz and glamour to perform Glee-style song mash-ups of classic 1960s Motown hits and contemporary songs including The Supremes’ Stop In the Name of Love crossed with Girls Aloud’s The Promise and Tina Turner’s Proud Mary teamed with Adele’s Rolling in the Deep.
The Supreme Fabulettes are launching with a series of headlining performances across the UK in May, The WayOut Club will be hosting their debut 19th May 2012
The group has a top creative team behind them, who between them have worked with the world’s biggest pop stars and on some of the most stunning music tours of recent years. Vocal Arranger Terry Ronald is best known for his work with Kylie Minogue, The Wanted, Westlife, The Saturdays and Cheryl Cole. Musical Arranger John Themis has written smash chart hits for Emma Bunton (a UK number one), Sugababes and Kylie Minogue and over 100 songs with Boy George and Culture Club. Costume Designer Stevie Stewart is formerly one half of the innovative and influential fashion design label Bodymap. She now works with top creative names in fashion, music, film and advertising as a costume, set and production designer and a fashion stylist. Her work featured on Kylie Minogue’s KYLIEX2008, Showgirl and Homecoming world tours, as well as Britney Sprears’ The Circus spectacular. Choreographer Katie Ella Hardwick’s work was seen in the West End production of The Hurly Burly Show.
Producer Walt Utz, of world famous Soho cabaret night club, Madame JoJo’s, said:
“The uplifting Motown Sound has inspired generations of artists. Now more than 40 years after Diana Ross and the Supremes, Martha and the Vandellas, and the biggest Motown stars first arrived in the UK in the spring of 1965, we’ll be giving their classic tracks a new twist by mixing them with modern songs. The Supreme Fabulettes show will be the best party in town, presented by three unique performers armed with glam, glitter and oodles of talent.”
Of course this story reminds me of my own time in a “three girl group” during 1995/1996
‘The Vampettes’ which was me, Jezabell and Steffan. In our case it was Jez who styled us and made all our unique backing tracks. Steffan who bullied us into our choreography (just me then) – then forget to turn his own microphone on (well just the once :~)) Me who got all the bookings and provided the transport. I lost my gearbox once on the way to Cardiff but we still made it to the gig on time – that was a real Priscilla Queen of the Desert moment – we met our “Bob” at an M4 service station and he drove us all to Cardiff waited for us and drove us all the way back to London.
So I know what is ahead of Vickie, Vanilla and Mary. Lots of fun and lots of hard work and scaring the public in “late night munchies stops” in motorway service stations. Have fun girls Vicky Lee xxx
24-03-12 – My Transsexual wedding
And now “My Transsexual Wedding” …
Last year Channel 4 aired a series called ‘My Transsexual Summer’ which was met with a warm reception from viewers, the transgender community and those who contributed to the series. Our series ‘My Transsexual Wedding’ would aim to continue the respectful and un-sensationalist tone of ‘My Transsexual Summer’ but focus on couples – one of whom has undergone or will undergo a gender affirmation procedure – who are planning to marry. The programme would offer a portrait of the day to day challenges the couple experiences, the perception of their forthcoming marriage by the outside world and it would tell their life stories. The arrangements of the wedding and the day itself would offer a nice framework around which to tell these stories. Ultimately the series is celebratory as, well, marriages are a time of celebration. The series aims to de-stigmatise this subject area with an honest and intelligent approach. I appreciate the transgender community often are, quite rightfully, suspicious of their representation in the media but I believe this series would have a positive effect. I am writing to you in the hope that you may be able to put me in touch with couples who would like to take part in the series. I totally appreciate that confidentiality is paramount for you and obviously am not asking for you to forward anyone’s contact details. But if you would be willing to bear this programme idea in mind and, if you know of anyone who is planning to marry, whether you be willing to gauge their interest in discussing this further with us – if you considered this to be appropriate. This would be a no pressure conversation. Our executive producer here has a track record in making thoughtful programming on sensitive subject matters. We already have approval from two couples who will be marrying in the future and if the programme gets made aim to work closely with Trans media Watch to get its tone just right. I greatly appreciate your time.
Many thanks, Contact me directly – Ian Parton <ian.parton@electricsky.com>De

06-02-12 – Scary Arabic looking man follows Miss Jodie Lyn home
I think it’s important to warn girls of the following incident. Our good friend Miss Jodie Lyn’s taxi was followed from Aldgate to Bethnal Green by a man of Arabic appearance, dressed very smartly. He approached her at her house and said he recognised her from The Wayout Club (I dont believe he had not been INSIDE the club). He asked if he could come in. Jodie said no, then he asked her for her number. She said no. Nothing bad happened but this guy was desperate enough to follow her home, park his car and approach her house at 3am in the snow. I have reported this incident to our local City police. Our security and door staff will be looking out for him outside the club. If ANY of you have had similar or have seen this man loitering please let me know. I must say that Miss Jodie has a high profile and is a very beautiful woman and that this could have happened leaving any venue especially if she had said on facebook or twitter that she would be attending WayOut. But that is no excuse This man is deplorable and scary – I have asked Jodie to report this incident to the police. This man may be known to them. Is he known to you??
30-01-12 – New stage LED projection backdrop
We have a new toy at The WayOut Club. I have invested in an amazing LED curtain that can show patterns, sound to light and video (though pixelated). Its the sort of tech that you see on many telly programs like ‘The Magicians’ It creates an amazing back drop not only for dancing and our shows but also for pics like this one by Ricky ‘The Lensman’. Also if its your special day our DJs can put up you name in lights.
The Wayout Club wants to be not only a sanctuary for transgendered girls and those that respect them but also a fabby dabby night club experience.
20-01-12 – New TG Shop
Throughout February, Sh! Women’s Erotic Emporium will show a collection of transgendered works called Art in Pubic – An Exploration of the Naked Truth.
Monday – Sunday 11am – 7pm, Free
Men welcome as guests of women or during Gent’s Night on Tuesdays 5-7pm
*Males presenting in female persona is welcome at all times
Fuschia Ayling: “My work for this exhibition aims to deal with the realities of intimacy and the relationship I have both with my transgendered partner and my own body. We, as a society, seem overly preoccupied with the airbrushed representations of sex and the human form that we see in the media, in everything from shop mannequins to pornography.”
Shay Briscoe: “My work is focused on my thoughts and feelings about my body as a female to male transsexual, and the often fraught relationship I have with sex. It seems that transgender people are massively underrepresented in the media and art world, and with my work I hope to help bring about the wider knowledge and acceptance of transsexual and genderfluid people who are so often ignored.”
Jessica Pritchard: “Sex is an important part of life, not the waxed, tanned and andocentric, surgically enhanced sex that the media tell us is what we should want; but the raw, clumsy, sweaty and passionate sex that actually happens…”

How sad is this. Lovely Samantha Eames passed away 7th Dec peacefully, but SO young. Many of you will have known her as the original bass player with The Frantastics. I am sad to report that one of our dearest WayOut friends passed away peacefully in his sleep week ending sat 19th 2011. I have recently been in correspondence with my friend Vicki Rene and have come to remember how important her web site is to our TG community SO I am reminding you of it here.Vickie Rene has, since the internet was invented, maintaned this free resource of interviews and biogs of those in the TG community that have come to her attention.Recent deaths in the TG community have taught me a lot about the trans condition and how those things that are very much part of us, and are celebrated within our community, can be lost at the time of grief. It can prove to be hard to grieve for the part of us that is not fully acknowledged let alone accepted by those that we leave behind.Vickie Renes site is SO important as it becomes, year by year, not only a celebration of those that are, but those that have been. For some it may be the only acknowledgment of their achievements.I feel we should make ourselves aware of all those that she highlights through this invaluable resource and I thank her for it with all my heart. http://www.vickirene.net/ |

I was so thrilled to attend the wedding of Miss Taura May and David. Taura looked stunning in white and pink. The ceremony was so well attended that many could not squeeze into the sizable registry office. After pictures in the park, the reception was outstanding with the most tasty Philipine cuisine, white and pink decor and entertainment from ‘the happy slappers’ drag team. It was a very international affair. Taura May, who is a nurse and care worker, had many of her friends who she had worked with in the UK and Bahrain at the reception where she made a wonderful speech thanking most especially Davids family.
Fellow nurse Vanessa (fourth from left) was just one of Taura’s bridesmaids who made it to WayOut on the same day. Vanessa of course won all three sections of the AML contest that night.
I love my sisters from the Philipines very much. Taura and David, all my best wishes for a long and happy life together. David and Taura look forward to going to the Philippines in the near future to repeat the experience with Taura’s family.

On Saturday night at Sparkle 08 I was thrilled and honored to receive a TG award for the best Transgender Nightclub on behalf of The WayOut Club. After 15 years every Saturday I really appreciated the recognition and hope that this award will encourage more T girls to come and enjoy the club with their friends. Lets face it you owe it to yourself to try out the Best TG nightclub in the country.
What I had not expected was to then be called to the stage to receive a second award for Life-time achievement / Service to the TG Community. This totally blew me away. Just after receiving the award Leah Sue and Bella, who arranged the nominations and awards, told me that the votes (which were made through the internet) for me to get the award soon went into the lead and stayed in the lead but even more importantly the votes came in from all around the world and this really hasn’t sunk in yet.
The main reason for my surprise is that I have so much respect for the other nominees, Martine Rose, Michelle King and Janet Scott each one deserve an award (thinking about it I am pretty sure I have in the past given them all a Tranny Guide Award).
The second reason for my surprise is that the award was called a lifetime award but there is still life in this old dog and lots to do. So watch this space …
How do I thank all of you who voted for me – I can only tell you how I was overcome with emotion, these awards really mean so much to me and I will treasure them forever. Thank you – Please Please if you have any pictures of me receiving these awards on stage please email them to me as I was too busy to organize anything for myself.

You might know that from 2005 to 2008 much of my time was taken by the design and building of the new home that I built for my partner Lesley and me. This project is finished now and we are very comfortable, living with our three Springer Spaniels, and 6 springer puppies, next to Lesley’s family. I am now working from my home on the many TG activities that I am involved in. For those of you that would like to follow this project through and see our new house I kept a picture blog with all the details.
You will be amazed – I can’t believe I did it myself…

My First Blog - Hi and welcome to my first blog. For years I have spammed my email list with bits of news and opportunities. Recently this has become more difficult as servers prevent spamming and my address book has grown enormous and is frankly full of old dud addressees. Well now I have finished building my new house ( well nearly) (have you checked out the link new house click here) I have figured out that I can have an intimate chat with you through this new Blog page. I will try to update it frequently and this is where you will find out what I am thinking about and what opportunities are circling about me (like they normally are).
Here is a bit of a personal update.
I officially moved from Enfield in North London to Royston near Cambridge two weeks ago. Some of you may have followed the progress of the house that I have built – I will be finishing this picture diary soon – as we finish detailing the interior over the next few weeks.
This last two weeks Lelly and I have driven to The WayOut Club direct from our new home and back again. It has taken an hour each way – so no more excuses you lot that live outside London. I will be staying in London from time to time on Saturday nights. I have my office working at the new house so I am back on my emails every day (instead of just at weekends). However my phone does not work very well in my new location so best to text me if urgent or email me.
Lelly is taking a break this week and is at the new home for a few weeks without having to comute to work. Our Springer Spanial ‘Rosie Lee’ (little cup of tea) has had 6 puppies
What will our older (bossy) dog ‘Peggy Lee’ think of puppies? watch this space. .
