Miss Sarah Lloyd ....
What can I say about Miss Lloyd ... Costumier, beauty, showgirl with possibly the worlds largest library of stage and film musicals, drag books, videos, music and related stuff ...

Sarah is always thinking about the WayOut Club and planning extravagant shows that need Cameron Mackintosh, a miracle, or at a push just her sewing machine and paint brush. Sarah lives for theatre and The WayOut Club is her theatre.

You will find Sarah at The WayOut Club most Saturdays helping newcomers with their make-up, perfoming in shows, presenting shows and chatting to all who have some gossip or want some gossip.

She is also a Barge Baby who cruises the canals in her boat (you guessed it) called 'The Sarah Lloyd' with a great company of friends and a big smile..

Above all Sarah is my reliable rock who is mad as a sack full of frogs and for that very fact alone I LOVE her so much. Vicky Lee

Well here is my Web Page....

Here you can discover a little about me my life, history and my aspirations.
So how did I find WayOut and get so involved ??
While I was living in Liverpool, I saw a fantastic cabaret act,
then called 'Total Recall' - This was of course Steffan, Karla and Fraser.
After the show I struck up conversation with them, and told them I could make their kind of costumes. They all thought I was a bit mad, I was in drag at the time, (I think). We kept in touch and when I moved to London in 96 I visited The WayOut Club and I put Vicky Lee in touch with a Japanese television company and we became friends. The Japanese ran the first Drag Olympics and I fell in love with the club and the opportunities that the club, Steffan, and Vicky,
gave me.

I guess my madness has paid off ... Look at me now !!!

My Biography

My birth date lands on 15th April, the tragic sinking of the TITANIC...which may explain why so many of my costumes are of period style.

I was born in the Navel town of Portsmouth and went to secondary school at ’Priory’ school. I went on to study "Acting & Performance" at ‘Highbury’ for two years where I discovered I wasn’t going to be an actor – but I was going to make costumes, which took me to Liverpool when I was 18 and ended up living there for 7 years.

In Liverpool I had many interesting jobs (and lots of paper hats) ... I worked for the ‘Liverpool playhouse ’, as well as being involved on the gay scene, creating my glamorous 'Sarah Llloyd' persona.

I worked in a small family run firm concentrating on 6 - 7 pantomimes a year.
I also worked for other shows, plus other theatrical events. I made costumes for Larry Grayson, Cheryl Baker, Peter Simons, Peter Vroom and many more in particular for Granada Television.

During that time I also worked as a "Drag-a-Gram.
For about 3 years I had a ball, especially with men thinking I was female ....

When I was about 25yrs old.(in the same year)..I tragically lost both my parents....my mother and her best friend run down by a drunk driver, and my farther to Lymph Cancer....which prompted me to uproot and move to London...

Here I became involved with the great "WayOut Night Club". Now I live in London Originally when I arrived in London I was a Saturday night customer at the WayOut club.....I lived for the Saturday night...as one drag queen used to say...."I dress to catch a man".... (Brook Bond) then when the club started to move to bigger venues...Vicky Lee asked me to help out… I was more than willing to help .and perform in the shows.

The first show was the "Copacobana show" ... since then I haven't really stopped. We've done many shows at the club, some of them will stick in my memory like the Christmas shows, Disney show, Rocky Horror, the American Independence show... to name but a few, then there were our big nights at Peter Stringfellow's night club, and they were big.

The WayOut Club has been good to me I've done a lot. Including being "Posh Spice" for the "The WayOut Spice Girls" thank you Stephan... luv ya.
I've travelled to Geneva, Dublin, Germany.... As well as 3 major gay prides in and around the UK. I have met many famous people along the way, including the real "Spice Girls". I feel very lucky for the opportunities. With a "WayOut" life style, my life is always very busy. There isn't a day without someone asks me to do this and that for them, mostly costumes to be sewn, for someone or dragging up for the many clubs that I am involved in.

You will find me at The WayOut Club most Saturday nights, usually with a cheeky remark, a friendly smile and advice when asked for it. I have such a nice time every Saturday with a family of dear friends, (you know who you are... )

Frankly for me at the end of the day, the "WayOut" is the shows, the glamour, and helping with the huge work that goes on behind the scene's, with the creativity of the shows and with Vicky organising the club, and banging away (on my sewing machine)... creating the costumes that you see us wear in the shows.

But equally, I know, as a gay male, that being the clubs "Door Whore" has given me a better understanding of the transgender world, and has really opened my eyes... and I value this very much. I've got to know a lot of you at WayOut and have made some firm friends as well. Your all fabulous and don't you forget it... and don't forget what The WayOut Club, is all about being...well…"WAYOUT" that's why its so unique.

ZEFF
I have also been very privileged to work in a band called ‘ZEFF’ with best friends Gordon and David and the musical pop producer..."Gerry Chapman".
Gerry produced and worked on many songs over the years with many big names including ‘The Animals’, ‘Pink Floyd, and ‘Village People’.
This band called "ZEFF"... is a 3 girl, tranny drag, pop band with a “Barbarella meets Charlie’s Angels” feel, with ABBA style music.

A new look and a new sound taking us in to this new millennium
